A while ago I made a page with a mockup for an ideal smartphone. One of the main points I made was its HD screen, the first of its kind. Along with some other details (Android powered etc.) it almost seems as if the Galaxy Nexus, the latest in Google’s flagship smartphones, is a realised version of what I was looking for in a phone. The Nexus is an absolute beauty, mainly due to the amazing screen.

There are some differences (of course) between it and my design, such as the larger screen and lower resolution camera. The categories I wrote about could be seen as the folders built into the Nexus. I’m just glad that something roughly resembling the device I wanted to see made is available.

‘Handheld awesomeness’ are still definitely the right words to use.
